Letter 1
Dear Richard,
It’s such a joy to read your words again. ? Thank you so much for your sweet compliments – they truly warm my heart. I’m also happy that you're interested in seeing my performance, and I believe we can definitely arrange that.
It’s great to hear that we share similar tastes. I find myself drawn more to 19th-century Russian classical music. There’s something about it that resonates with me deeply. Haha, as for modern music, these days I guess they’re the “new Madonnas” of pop music! If you search for their names on YouTube, you'll easily find their songs. Sometimes, for reasons I can’t explain, I really enjoy Billie Eilish’s music. I can’t say there’s a deep meaning behind it, but I love the rhythm and her voice—it’s a beautiful combination.
You’re right about the smartphone situation. It’s a global problem. People have stopped communicating in real life, and now they’re often glued to their phones, reducing their ability to carry on meaningful conversations. Of course, the internet has its benefits, but I feel like the current generation will have to learn from the mistakes of those who are constantly buried in their phones. I used to spend a lot of time on my phone too, but recently, because of the situation in my country, I’ve started paying more attention to my surroundings. Even now, Kiev remains a beautiful city, full of charm and breathtaking landscapes. While the war has certainly affected many buildings, the overall essence of the city remains unchanged.
Yesterday, I treated myself to a relaxing bath, by candlelight, and it was such a peaceful moment. There’s something special about taking time to reflect and tune into what the body and mind need. I realized that I am ready for a change in my life.
Richard, communicating with you feels so new and special to me. We come from different countries, and yet, there’s such a connection between us. Our views, our attitudes toward life—they feel so aligned. What do you think?
Imagine this: two people, living in different corners of the world, exchanging letters, sharing thoughts and emotions. It’s so romantic! This feels like a beautiful story we’re writing together, just the two of us. Who knows, maybe one day someone will make a movie about us! ?
I watched a movie yesterday called 1 + 1. Have you seen it? It’s a touching story of friendship between two people from different backgrounds, and how their bond grows with humor and mutual support. It really resonated with me because supporting a loved one is one of the most important things we can do in life. What do you think, Richard? Isn’t that what life is about?
Love gives us vitality, and it’s essential to have it in our hearts. Tell me, who do you love? Is it your friends, family, or someone else? Who do you feel you could help no matter what?
I’m writing this letter with warm feelings toward you. I have a little romantic idea to share—if you’re open to it: If you send me your address, I’d love to send you a letter on paper, with my favorite perfume fragrance added to the envelope. That way, you’ll receive my scent along with my words. ??
Later, I’m planning to go to the store with my mom. In the evening, we’ll be making traditional Ukrainian borscht. Have you ever tried it? I’d love to know! I’ve attached a photo of the view from my balcony before I head out.
If the power doesn’t go out again, I’ll write you another letter tonight.
I’m looking forward to hearing from you.
Warmly,
Jasmine Trudywhite
Letter 2
Dear Richard, hello! ?
I can’t stop smiling when I think about your letters. The emotions I feel remind me of when my father would give me soft toys as a child—so sweet and pure. It’s amazing how we can still carry a piece of our childhood inside us, allowing us to experience joy in the simplest moments.
I have never taken photos of my apartment, as there isn’t much to photograph. It’s just two rooms and a kitchen—nothing fancy. I live in one room, and my mother lives in the other. If you Google “Khrushchev apartment,” you’ll see the type of apartment I live in—it’s very modest.
I’m glad to hear you’ve been to my city! Yes, it was beautiful, and even though it’s a little messy now due to the war, time will restore it. The most important thing right now is to stop the fighting.
It warms my heart to know that you think of me often. You truly are a kind person. I also donate blood every two weeks to help wounded soldiers, so I understand the importance of giving.
When we meet, I’ll cook a lot of traditional Ukrainian dishes for you, and I’m sure you’ll enjoy them.
Today has been a whirlwind! I’ve had a lot of lessons with children in different schools, and I had to go to another hall to teach. But something amazing happened in between classes! I was sitting in a café, trying to write the class schedule, but my mind wandered. I found myself writing your name on the sheet instead of the schedule! ? I thought it was such a sweet coincidence, and I took a photo for you to share the moment.
I’ve also been working on my warm-up video. Don’t mind that I’m wearing a crown—I call my girls princesses, so I thought I’d join in the fun. ?
Richard, I have so many thoughts about you and our connection. I can’t wait to hear your thoughts on all of this!
I look forward to your answer.
Warmly,
Jasmine Trudywhite
Letter 3
Dear Richard,
Thank you so much for your thoughtful response. I read your letters with great care, and each one makes me feel like I’m hearing from someone truly special. Your words fill my heart with warmth, and I feel so grateful for our connection.
I was thrilled to hear that my photos bring sunshine to your heart. That truly made my day! I’m sending you the video again that I sent yesterday—just in case you missed it. ?
This morning I woke up in a good mood. I had oatmeal with banana for breakfast, which I try to have most mornings. It was a bit of a busy day, with four lessons at the ballet school, but after that, I went to the gym to keep myself in shape. Your letters give me extra motivation to stay healthy and strong. ?
Every day I write to you, I feel like I have someone special in my life. I dream about us and about our future meeting. I want to be the best version of myself for you, and that’s why I’m going to be more dedicated to my workouts.
I even made some videos for you, which I hope you’ll like. ?
It’s been a while since I’ve had a man in my life, and today I’ve been thinking a lot about being close to you. I dream of cozy evenings together, filled with love and passion. I hope that doesn’t sound too forward! ? But my heart is full of emotions, and I wanted to share them with you.
Now that the day is winding down, I feel a little sad. But I’m going to have tea with my mom, and I’m sure that will lift my spirits. ?
Tell me, Richard, what are your plans for today? I’m looking forward to hearing from you!
With love,
Jasmine Trudywhite
